Shhh! Holy Spirit at Work
There can be no question that the Holy Spirit is at work during each World Youth Day period (the events last far more than a day). WYD 2008 in Australia, which finished up on July 20th, was no exception.
Four hundred thousand people gathered at Randwick Racecourse for the closing Mass, with 200,000 watching on large screens from nearby Centennial Park. And this was in Australia (which, for most people with cash to spend on transportation, is at the end of the earth)! In fact, it was the largest gathering in the country's history.
